Marketing Intern
at The Athletic Academy at GHFC in Gainesville
Interns will assist the Athletic Academy team in implementing all marketing and promotions aspects of the Athletic Academy. The program includes one on one, small group, and team training packages that focus on evolving athletic skills for each participant to the next level of competitive abilities. This program will use a wide fundamental base of movement skills (acceleration, agility, multi-direction and multi-plane movements, power development, endurance, Vertimax training, and Olympic lifting technique). Interns will be required to participate in promotional opportunities including events, daily contacts with media and community, phone calls, letter writing, and development of promotional materials. The intern will also be required to participate in shadowing opportunities with coaches during training sessions to learn the process of protocols of the program in order to develop marketing messages that best position the products to the consumers. Each intern will be assigned one or two major projects to complete during the internship (e.g. strategic marketing plan, content development for website, market survey, development of a marketing campaign). This is a non-paid, part-time internship with potential commitment of 15-20 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Observe and shadow Performance Coaches during the training sessions in individual, small group, and team across all ages and skill levels
• Attend administrative meetings when requested
• Assist with development of written collateral
• Support operations director with community relations and promotional calls
• Complete all assigned readings, lectures, and assignments in a timely manner
• Adhere to Athletic Academy codes of conduct, dress, and behavior
• Assist with the day to day marketing of the Athletic Academy
• Aid in the development of content for the website
